LW Vinicius Junior

Vinicius Junior made another mistake where he took too many touches and sabotaged his own good goal-scoring opportunity by not having the confidence to take on a shot first time. Hopefully, Zinedine Zidane can work with Vinicius on this, since it seems like a fixable issue.

That said, Vinicius had a positive impact on the game again. Real Madrid look much more dangerous with the energetic forward on the pitch, and he does everything he can to help his teammates.

Rating: 6.5 out of 10

CM Fede Valverde

We have to start talking about Fede Valverde as the best young center midfielder in the world, because Real Madrid look SO much better with him on the pitch. He created a clear-cut chance for Gareth Bale than the Wales international failed to bury before creating an even more clear-cut chance that Luka Modric easily took.

Valverde is incredible in so many different ways. His impact on this game was obvious.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

ST Luka Jovic

Zinedine Zidane needs to sub in Luka Jovic earlier, because he was also a difference-maker. Jovic works so hard to win the ball back for his team and shows great energy, as it’s clear he wants to make an impression on both Zidane and the fan base.

Jovic’s strength and hold-up play should be huge assets for Real going forward, and he’ll carry a goal-scoring threat as he continues to earn more minutes.
