It has been decided. Real Madrid will be taking on Atletico Madrid in the Final of the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday night after Los Blancos beat Valencia 3-1 while Atletico beat Barcelona 3-2 in the semifinals of the competition held in Saudi Arabia.

Predicted Lineup:

Thibaut Courtois:

The goalkeeper had another great outing against Valencia on Wednesday night and was unlucky to concede in the final minutes from a penalty. He has been in immense form so far and will surely start against Atletico Madrid.

Dani Carvajal:

Another sure starter on Sunday will be Dani Carvajal. He had a pretty good outing last match and the only way Zidane would bench him in this final is if he’s too tired or injured, which he isn’t.

Raphael Varane:

There is no denying that Varane has easily been our best defender during the course of this season and he has consistently proven his worth at the club. For a final against Atletico, he is a man you desperately need in your team.

More from The Real Champs

Sergio Ramos:

The man who lives for Finals. Sergio Ramos is expected to start and it will be shocking if Zidane decides to bench the captain with Real Madrid having their first chance for a trophy this year (no matter how ‘important’ it may or may not be).

Marcelo:

The return of Marcelo! The Brazilian came on against Valencia as a substitute for the first time since returning from injury and I predict that we will see him starting on Sunday night to help the team offensively without Benzema in the squad. He can offer a lot and his crossing will surely help Luka Jovic.

Carlos Casemiro:

He should be the first name on the starting lineup for Sunday night and we know very well how important he is to Zidane’s plans. Casemiro will have a difficult task with Atletico using all their firepower to find the back of the net but he has shown that he can do the job with his eyes closed.

Toni Kroos:

After a masterclass in the semifinals, Toni Kroos will be expected to come out with a similar performance in order to disrupt Atletico’s middle line. He has been in sensational form so far and I don’t expect anything different on Sunday night.

Federico Valverde:

Didn’t start against Valencia but should start against Atletico Madrid. Federico Valverde announced his name to the world when the two teams played each other in La Liga earlier in the season and he knows what would be expected of him if he takes the pitch again.

Rodrygo Goes:

It was a little weird to not see him play on Wednesday (Zidane clearly made the correct decision) but I think we can expect to see him play his first final for Real Madrid. This is a player with a lot of talent and he has the ability to bring the ball forward efficiently against a very strong Atletico defense.

Isco:

Started the past two matches and I think Zidane will trust him enough to take the pitch once again. He was incredible against Valencia after some very lackluster performances and the team will be hoping he can be at his best again when they take on Atletico.

Luka Jovic:

Slightly unlucky not to score in the semifinals but he should be starting again with Benzema injured. Jovic will be praying to get a goal and help Real Madrid win the trophy on Sunday night.
