Real Madrid will begin the knockout stages of the 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League campaign on Wednesday, Feb. 26 against Manchester City. Here are five reasons why they can win it all again this year.

Last season, Real Madrid were knocked out of the Champions League Round of 16 by Cinderella team Ajax, losing 4-1 in the second leg of the knockout stage’s first round. Since then, Los Blancos look like a completely different team, as Zinedine Zidane has righted the ship, getting the most out of his veteran midfielders while building a world-class defense.

Although Los Blancos were bounced out of the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey after resting most of their defensive starters, Real Madrid are still in a great position to pick up multiple trophies in 2019-2020. They led La Liga coming into Matchday 24, winning all of their games in January despite not having star man Eden Hazard healthy.

With Hazard returning from his ankle injury and the defense shutting down opposing teams, Real have the squad depth and top-end talent to win the Champions League for the fourth time under Zinedine Zidane.

Here are five reasons why they could win it all this season, as we prepare to watch Los Merengues take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Feb. 26.
