Three takeaways as Real Madrid slip to a draw against Celta Vigo
By Hasan Karim
A very frustrating came sees Real Madrid drops points at home against Celta Vigo. The visitors came into this game with a clear plan that was executed well. Here are our three takeaways.
Eden Hazard reminds us of his brilliance:
On his first start in 82 days, many may have felt that Eden Hazard would’ve need a little time to find his feet again. Against Celta, the Belgian reassured fans that he is not far off his best. During his 73 minutes on the field, the former Chelsea man was arguably the best player.
The winger created the most chances with 3, he won a vital penalty and made 7 recoveries of the ball. He showed once again just what he can bring to the table; he is a genuinely elite player. When on the ball, he broke through lines and was consistently trying to create danger.
Perhaps the most promising aspect from this game is knowing Eden is already good and will get even sharper. With huge games literally around the corner, he could peak at the exact moment that Zidane needs him most. This draw may bring a bit of a cloud but there is certainly a silver lining and that silver lining is Eden Hazard being back.
