Real Madrid will face FC Barcelona on Sunday night at the Santiago Bernabeu in a must-win matchup that will likely decide La Liga. Here are three reasons why Los Blancos can win the Clasico this time.

Despite outplaying their bitter rivals on the road just weeks after losing Eden Hazard to a serious ankle injury, Real Madrid were unable to find the breakthrough goal against FC Barcelona. They managed to thwart Lionel Messi and completely neutralize his partners-in-crime Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann, but the likes of Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale proved just as ineffective in front of goal.

On Matchday 26 in La Liga, Real Madrid have the opportunity to get all three points in the second Clasico of the 2019-2020 season, but it won’t get any easier. Even though Real have the home field advantage at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night, they must go at it without Eden Hazard again.

Worse yet, Los Blancos are coming off a 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo, a 1-0 loss to Levante, and a 2-1 loss to Manchester City that included an embarrassing final 15 minutes of play.

Real are reeling, but they are still in the thick of the title race, just two points behind Barcelona after last weekend’s loss to Levante.

Here are three reasons why Madridistas should believe in Los Blancos’ ability to prevail.
