Real Madrid: 5 players on Real Betis to watch on Matchday 27

A true La Liga legend, Joaquín remains one of the league’s best players at the age of 38. It’s unbelievable how good he still is, and he’s arguably only gotten better with age.

Joaquín is right behind Morón in the team lead for goals, as he’s scored eight times this season. He is a strong bet to find the back of the net on Sunday, as he seems to turn up his performances in the biggest games, especially when it’s crunch time for Betis. The home fans will be boisterously cheering their right winger to come up with a decisive goal or assist on Matchday 27.

According to WhoScored.com, Joaquín has found plenty of other ways to contribute to Betis’ attacks, as he’s made 1.7 key passes per game and completed 1.6 dribbles per game.

RB Emerson

Another player for Marcelo (or Ferland Mendy) and Vinicius Junior to watch closely on the right side of Real Betis’ formation, Emerson has been one of the best fullbacks in La Liga this season. The 21-year-old is a rising star and has all the attributes to be an asset for Los Verdiblancos for years to come.

Emerson leads Betis with five assists, and he’s even managed to find the back of the net three times, giving him as many goals as forward Borja Iglesias.

Further, Emerson has drawn 2.7 fouls per game. He is so important to Betis’ attack, as he creates chances and carries the ball into the final third regularly, allowing Joaquín to cut inside and score.

Defensively, Emerson is averaging 2.2 tackles per game, highlighting his all-around impact. He is quietly one of the best fullbacks in European football.
