Out of favor and running out of time

Much like Lunin, Jesus Vallejo has had a horrendous loan spell this season and has been with two clubs now. He started out in England in the fall with Europa League side Wolverhampton Wolves and has since moved to Granada after he was deemed useless by manager Nuno Espírito Santo.

Vallejo managed 372 minutes in four appearances for Wolves while he was with them and was so poor, Nuno Santo moved him to the reserve squad without flinching. In fact, the Spanish center back went nearly three months without making an appearance in a match.

Now with Granada, he has already made six appearances and started in four matches. Though he is receiving quality minutes now, the performances are still rather poor.

According to WhoScored, Vallejo has not received a match rating higher than seven in over a year and has failed to average one tackle and interception since moving to La Liga with Granada

While he does look more comfortable playing in Spain again, time is running out for the 23-year-old.

He has been with Real Madrid since 2015 and has failed to impress Zidane. Plus, with Eder Militao waiting in the wings, Vallejo could be sold over the summer if he doesn’t improve.
