Real Madrid is preparing for a strange matchday where they will take on Eibar at the Santiago Bernabéu behind closed doors due to the coronavirus outbreak. In addition, the match will be played on a Friday as well! Here is the predicted lineup for the match.

Los Blancos won the last match between the two 4-0 thanks to goals from Karim Benzema, Sergio Ramos, and Federico Valverde.

Zinedine Zidane will be preparing for this match after an extremely difficult week which saw them lose their lead at the top of the table before the news came out that Thibaut Courtois and Marcelo have been added to the injury list.

As he prepares for this game, he’ll have to keep one eye on the Tuesday match where Real Madrid will do what they can to overturn a 2-1 aggregate score against Manchester City in the Champions League.

Predicted Starting Eleven

Goalkeeper

With the untimely news that Thibaut Courtois has suffered an injury during the loss to Real Betis, Real Madrid will be forced to start Alphonse Areola in goal.

The French goalkeeper has done fairly well whenever called upon this season, but his most recent performance will be what is stuck in all Madridistas minds. He was in goal during Real Madrid’s 4-3 loss to Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey in a game where he really struggled.

He’ll have the chance to turn things around during this massive week for the club.

Defenders

We should be able to welcome Dani Carvajal back on the right side of the defense after returning from an illness. Eder Militao took his place during the weekend and had a terrible game (hard to completely put him at fault though).

Therefore, Carvajal will be a welcome return. Raphael Varane will be accompanying Sergio Ramos at the heart of defense while Ferland Mendy will return as left-back with Marcelo on the injury list.

Midfielders

Zidane is expected to make changes to the three midfielders that started the last game after they were unable to get the job done. Carlos Casemiro – who has been a rock for the team this season – should be starting with Toni Kroos. The change will probably come from Kroos’ partner in midfield as Federico Valverde may replace Luka Modric.

Forwards

A lot has been said about the forwards so far this season, but don’t be quick to expect many changes to be made. However, I’m going to go as far as saying that Lucas Vazquez won’t start while it’ll be a coin-toss regarding who will be replacing him.

Next. Real Madrid are a different team with an in-form Isco. dark

I’ll put my money on Gareth Bale but it could just as well be Rodrygo Goes instead. Vinicius Junior is currently the best player on the left side and it could be harmful if he isn’t in the starting XI for the third match in a row.

Lastly, Karim Benzema will be leading the attack and he will want to make amends for his match against Real Betis. We all know the quality the French striker possesses and giving him the required momentum before the Champions League tie could do wonders for the team.
