Real Madrid will most likely sign at least one superstar attacker in the summer 2020 transfer window, and they have long eyed PSG’s Kylian Mbappe as their favored option.

It may not be realistic for Real Madrid to sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer transfer window this year, so Los Blancos may have to earmark him as a more likely 2021 option. But that hasn’t stopped Madridistas from holding out hope for a dream Mbappe signing in 2020.

That said, ESPN’s Julian Laurens, as relayed by MARCA, reports that PSG will not let Mbappe leave this summer. This report jibes with everything else we’ve heard about Mbappe, as PSG are desperate to keep their young superstar at all costs.

However, they may be willing to sell another superstar attacker whom they did everything to keep away from FC Barcelona and even Real Madrid last summer.

More from The Real Champs

Per the report from Laurens, PSG will entertain the thought of Neymar leaving Paris for the first time.

Last summer, Barça did whatever they could to reunite with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez‘s former attacking partner, but PSG wouldn’t budge from the thought of a deal exceeding 200 million euros.

Perhaps realizing that it is unreasonable to ask for so much for an oft-injured player, PSG seem to value Neymar at 150 million euros.

Given the rumored sums for players like Sadio Mane and Jadon Sancho, 150 million euros for Neymar seems like a great deal.

Barcelona are the favorites to sign Neymar after making his signing a priority in 2019.

But Real Madrid could be lurking as an option, especially if they realize that there’s no way they can sign Mbappe in 2020. And PSG continue to do whatever they can to get a reluctant Mbappe to sign a long-term deal with the Ligue 1 giants.

Neymar is a game-changing player who is neck-and-neck with Messi as the world’s best. He’s evolved into a more dangerous set-piece taker and passer out of the midfield, creating chances from nothing and showing great vision in a more central playmaking role where he sometimes drops deeper.

This shift in skill-set makes Neymar even more intriguing to Barcelona, but his goal-scoring prowess still ensures that the superstar has the ability to finish of moves and be worth the kind of money that Real Madrid and Barça would spend in wages and transfer value on him.
