CM Dani Ceballos

Loaned to Arsenal last summer, Real Madrid center midfielder Dani Ceballos had an up-and-down season, just as the Gunners did. But by the end of the Premier League campaign, Ceballos impressed new Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and seems to have a future at the club.

It looks like the North London team is interested in signing Ceballos permanently, and Real Madrid won’t ask for a discount price. They know how talented Ceballos is, and, now, the entire Premier League does, too.

While Ceballos could help Real Madrid with his engine, clever touches, and impressive vision in midfield, Los Blancos may not have space for him. And if Arsenal send an appeasing enough offer to Florentino Perez for the former Real Betis standout, then Los Blancos may well give this deal the green light.

Ceballos should be kept in mind as someone who has a spot in Madrid’s midfield, because he has enough quality to be a part of the team. But he would undoubtedly play a bigger role at Arsenal than he would at Real. If that’s important to Ceballos, then that’s another layer of the decision to consider this summer.

Per WhoScored.com, Ceballos averaged 1.1 dribbles per game and 1.1 key passes per game with 1.6 fouls drawn per game in the Premier League.
