If Karim Benzema was the best forward on Real Madrid for the duration of the 2019-2020 season, then Vinicius Junior gets the nod as the best player when the season was suspended due to the impact of the novel coronavirus.

Vinicius first burst onto the season in the second half of the 2018-2019 season, and after needing to find his confidence again, Vini had another breakout performance in the second half of the 2019-2020 campaign.

The 19-year-old was second on Real Madrid in dribbles completed per game behind only the impervious Hazard. Vini’s creativity and football IQ have improve significantly in his second season as a first-team player, and he’s quickly become one of Real’s most valuable players.

He may not be able to start regularly when Hazard is healthy, but Vinicius will still play a critical role in the team. Before the last winter transfer window, there were rumors of a deal with a Premier League club or a swap deal with PSG involving Kylian Mbappe.

It’s safe to say Vinicius isn’t for sale. He is one of the most valuable attacking players in the world in his own right, and Los Blancos will intend to keep investing in a player who fits the club absolutely perfectly.
