Real Madrid may be one of the biggest clubs in the world, but there are still some star players on the team who deserve more praise globally.

No club in the world sets as high of a standard as Real Madrid. The high expectations around Los Blancos are no surprise, of course, and their streak of three straight Champions League victories under Zinedine Zidane has certainly played a role in this.

So whenever Real don’t win a major trophy, they tend to receive a disproportionate amount of criticism from fans around the world, even if the team played well or their long-term outlook is highly positive. We saw this transpire in 2019-2020, as Real were seen as afterthoughts despite being more competitive than expected in the first year of their “Revolution”, which is essentially their post-Cristiano Ronaldo transition period.

Thus, several star players on Los Blancos aren’t getting enough widespread praise for their play. Hopefully, when Real Madrid start winning Champions League titles under Zidane again, the likes of Casemiro and Raphael Varane will get their usual praise again.

But for now, they are among the five players who deserve more widespread attention for being among the best in the world at their respective positions.
