If Real Madrid’s 2019-2020 season is done for good, at least fans can praise these three players for their breakout performances.

Breakout stars can make all the difference in the world to a club. There’s nothing quite like seeing a young player grab their opportunities by the neck and shine, especially at a club as pressurized as Real Madrid.

In the 2019-2020 season, there were many young players who impressed, but some of them were only able to flash their brilliance in glimpses. Brahim Diaz had a big game in the Copa del Rey, Luka Jovic created a couple of goals with backheel passes, Vinicius Junior had a remarkable second half of the season, and Rodrygo had a wonderful first half of the season.

But there were a pair of young players who consistently dazzled, to the point where they will be considered among Europe’s best players in the 2020-2021 season. At least, that’s the hope among those in Madrid.

Here were the three biggest breakout stars of the 2019-2020 season from Real Madrid. This list only includes players who actually played for Los Blancos this past season, otherwise standout loanees like Real Sociedad’s gem midfielder Martin Odegaard would have surely featured prominently here.
