Real Madrid have been pursuing Eduardo Camavinga for months, and he reportedly sees Los Blancos as his next club.

Although Real Madrid signed a few excellent young players last summer in Luka Jovic, Rodrygo Goes, Eder Militao, Takefusa Kubo, and Ferland Mendy and then added attacking midfielder Reinier Jesus in the winter transfer window, they aren’t close to being done adding top young players as part of Zinedine Zidane’s “Revolution”.

Eduardo Camavinga has recently been identified as one of the team’s top targets. The Rennes midfielder first burst onto the scene in 2019-2020 by having a dream performance against PSG’s superstars, and he ended up being right behind Casemiro as one of the world’s best defensive midfielders.

According to a report from ABC Deportes, via Infinite Madrid, Camavinga sees Los Blancos as his dream club. The 17-year-old, who led all players in Europe’s top five leagues in tackles per game, has already told those around him that he wants to sign with Madrid next.

Rennes will do whatever they can to get maximum value from Camavinga, who is already one of the best players at his position in world football despite his age. A future superstar, Camavinga would be the ideal backup and future replacement for the overworked and all-important Casemiro in midfield.

Additionally, ABC Deportes reports, via Infinite Madrid, those close to fellow Ligue 1 prospect Rayan Cherki also state that Real Madrid is the player’s dream move. Cherki is prepared to “work even harder”, believing he’s destined to join Los Blancos after Lyon.

Cherki had fabulous performances in the French Cup and is prepared to be another big star in Lyon’s attack in 2020-2021. Rival club FC Barcelona are also reportedly tracking Cherki, but it sounds like Real Madrid, once again, have the advantage on a top young player.

The 16-year-old France international could be a wonderful signing for Real Madrid after the 2020-2021 season, and Madridistas would dream of an attack including Cherki and Kylian Mbappe. Los Blancos can’t sign everyone, but Cherki is a unique, exciting prospect with a real eye for goal.

Los Merengues will continue to pursue the best young players in the world, and it seems like Camavinga could easily join the team this summer. As for Cherki, he’s also a name for Madridistas to watch closely as he develops.
