With the majority of the world on lockdown amid the COVID-19 virus, it got me thinking, which five Real Madrid players would be the best to be quarantined with?

Working from home and preventing the spread of the coronavirus has become the primary concern of countries all around the world.

The stoppage of football has made things even tougher for us sites that cover the beautiful game, so, trying to think outside the box, I thought it would be fun to create a list of five Real Madrid players I would like to spend time with during quarantine.

These are not in any particular order.

Sergio Ramos

Can you imagine how entertaining it would be to spend time with the captain of Los Blancos? Always a leader on and off the field, Sergio is a Madrid legend and one of the best center backs to ever come out of Spain.

His fiery attitude, dedication to his craft, and his humor would be a welcome change amid this confinement. Plus, I could use some workouts with him to get in better shape (although I doubt I could keep up).

It would also be fun to pick Sergio’s brain and discuss his career. I would ask why and how he continues to pick up so many yellow and red cards. Are he and Gerard Pique still friendly off the pitch despite years of rivalry? And finally, is Zinedine Zidane really the best coach he has played for during his long career?

Ramos seems like a man who amps himself up for matches but is very laidback when at home with his family. It would be so fun to see the relaxed side of Real’s number four.

Toni Kroos

Not only can Toni speak fluent English, but his love for tennis legend Roger Federer also puts him near the top of my list for quarantine buddies.

Kroos seems like a very nice guy and his relaxed presence on the field likely translates to the way he acts at home as well. Being with someone who is calm during all this turmoil can not be overstated and Kroos fits that type perfectly.

And, based on his recent tweets, it seems like he is a funny guy. He said he has been changing his hairstyle nearly every day to entertain both his children and his wife.

Eden Hazard

Real Madrid’s star signing of the summer is hilarious off the pitch. He is well-known for not being able to keep a straight face during a promo shoot for Human Appeal back in his Chelsea days and has just recently gone bald for no reason.

Eden has had a tumultuous first season in Spain has had to deal with two serious ankle injuries. The winger was very open about his struggles, saying in a recent interview, “My first season at Madrid has been bad – but not all of it. It’s been a season of adaptation. I’ll be judged on the second one. It’s up to me to be in good shape next year.”

His honesty coupled with his humor makes him one of my favorite players in the world and someone I could share a beer with.

Karim Benzema

The Big Benz has an interesting reputation off the pitch. He is a luxury car collector – he really enjoys speeding in these cars – and he, of course, was involved in a blackmail case that saw him banned from the French national team back in 2015.

The man is like a walking soap opera. How could you not want to spend time with him?

Vinicius Junior

Vinicius Junior is still a kid in my eyes. Last season at just 18 years old, he had more pressure put on his shoulders than any teenager in the world. But, despite leaving some of his family and friends in Brazil to make the big step to Real Madrid, the winger has handled everything beautifully.

His love for the NBA – he is frequently pictured wearing a LeBron James or Kobe Bryant jersey – and his involvement with the FIFA video game franchise makes him an easy choice here.

If Rodrygo was invited to the quarantine, that would just make things even better. Hanging out with the Brazilian teenagers who are the future of the club? Sign me up right now.
