Real Madrid fans know Kylian Mbappe is the most valuable player in the world, and they won’t stop dreaming of the forward joining Los Blancos within the next two years.

Every summer transfer window, Real Madrid are linked to the absolute best players the world has to offer. Last summer, they signed Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard after he led his team to a Europa League title and Champions League qualification, but they were still linked with PSG superstar Neymar amidst the Brazilian’s rumored reunion with FC Barcelona.

Real remain loosely linked with Neymar, who seems even more likely to return as Barça’s savior amidst organizational turmoil. However, they are most strongly linked to another superstar PSG forward in Kylian Mbappe, who has consistently been identified as the dream target.

Only 21 years old, Mbappe is coming off another sensational season for the Ligue 1 giants. In 20 league appearances, Mbappe scored a whopping 18 goals with five assists. He also had five goals and four assists in under 500 Champions League minutes.

Fans often split hairs on transfer targets. Who would help the team the most? Is this player really worth that price? Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland, Sadio Mane, Leroy Sane, Mauro Icardi, and Timo Werner are among the great forwards who have been linked to Los Blancos this coming summer, but few can seem to agree which of them would be worth the price or help the team the most.

Yet there is one player who is almost universally agreed upon as a superstar who can become the best player in the world and would fit Real Madrid perfectly from every standpoint. And yes, that player is Kylian Mbappe.

A starring World Cup winner as a teenager, Mbappe has only increased his reputation – and transfer value – over the past two seasons for his club. PSG will do anything to keep Mbappe, even as the links between the star forward and his apparent dream club, Real Madrid, grow. And it is awfully hard to turn down Real, especially when three-time Champions League-winning manager Zinedine Zidane is at the helm.

PSG are desperately trying to get Mbappe to sign a lucrative extension that will skyrocket Mbappe’s value and prevent him from leaving at a discounted price in the summer of 2021, when his value could be cut to 150 million euros from nearly 300 million. And Florentino Perez’s Real? They are doing whatever they can to make sure Mbappe resists and seals a dream move in 2021 to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Mbappe has it all. The skills, off-the-ball movement, instincts on the ball, tactical awareness, explosiveness, presence in the box, physical strength, work ethic…Mbappe isn’t perfect in the sense that no 21-year-old is, but he’s damn near close.

And Real Madrid fans know he is the player who can replace the goals and star power of Cristiano Ronaldo and lead Los Merengues to another era of dominance as the centerpiece of a young team. Standouts like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Reinier Jesus, Martin Odegaard, and Rennes transfer target Eduardo Camavinga could join him in Zidane’s “Revolution”. But Real fans understand Mbappe is the best possible addition and ideal star man for the project.
