Real Madrid need to add more goal-scoring firepower in the summer of 2020, and these four players can provide exactly that.

Last season, Real Madrid only had one player with more than five goals scored in La Liga, and it’s no surprise that No. 9 Karim Benzema was the man to lead the way, just as he did in 2018-2019.

Although the midfield and defense were excellent under Zinedine Zidane in 2019-2020, the forward position lagged behind despite rebound years from the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in midfield. Part of that was due to multiple serious injuries to Eden Hazard, a reliance on young wingers, and Gareth Bale’s woeful season, but Real simply don’t have enough star power (yet) to be at the level they were from 2016 to the first half of 2018.

Los Blancos need more attacking firepower and goals. Hazard will bounce back, Vinicius Junior is headed for a breakout season, and Rodrygo has what it takes to be a future superstar. But when it comes to immediate scoring impact in 2020-2021, Real will be left with just Benzema again if they don’t make a move.

Here are four forwards who can help Real Madrid immediately put more goals in the back of the net in the 2020-2021 season.

Note: Kylian Mbappe is not on the list, since it’s highly unrealistic to expect PSG to sell him this summer.
