Real Madrid have no shortage of talented attacking midfielders, but who will be the team’s main No. 10 in 2020-2021?

Last season, Real Madrid used a number of players as a No. 10, and they also had three talented attacking midfielders on loan in La Liga. Martin Odegaard, Takefusa Kubo, and Oscar Rodriguez all showed real quality in 2019-2020, with Odegaard breaking out as one of the best players in the entire league for Real Sociedad.

It’s unclear which teams those three young standouts will play for in 2020-2021, but it’s entirely possible Odegaard returns to Real Madrid as a first-team player, leading Kubo to fill his shoes at La Real.

If that’s the case, then Los Blancos will be even more loaded in the attacking midfield. And it will lead Zinedine Zidane to some tough decisions, since there’s so much quality. The only person leaving will be James Rodriguez, who has only one year left on his contract.

Here are three players who could be star options as the No. 10 for Real Madrid in the 2020-2021 season. Marco Asensio, who will return from a serious knee injury, is not included, since he’s more of a solution as an inverted right winger in Los Blancos’ attack.
