Isco

Real Madrid can play Isco in a variety of positions, as Zinedine Zidane made great use of him as an inverted left winger, right winger, and support striker for Karim Benzema in a 4-4-2. Isco is a special player with immense technical quality, and after a quiet start to the season due to injury with some inconsistent patches, Isco ended up having a huge bounce-back campaign.

The Spain international has a chance to be one of the best creative midfielders in La Liga next season, because he was in his element by the end of the 2019-2020 campaign. Isco was the team’s best player in big matches against Manchester City and FC Barcelona, turning up his performances significantly. And against Osasuna, he steadied the team after they went down 1-0, eventually pulling the strings in a massive 4-1 comeback win in Pamplona.

Isco’s dream 2016-2017 season will not be forgotten any time soon by either Madridistas or his manager Zidane, who has always held the quick midfielder in high regard. He is entering the prime of his career, and the 2020-2021 season could be his time to remind the world why he was once one of the most highly-regarded creative midfielders in the game.

There will be competition, but Isco should have the first crack to lead the way as the No. 10, curling shots in the top corner and weaving his way through traffic in the final third.
