Martin Odegaard

There’s no guarantee Martin Odegaard will return to Real Madrid for the 2020-2021 season after agreeing to a two-year loan deal with Real Sociedad, but he played so well in his first season there that Los Merengues seem to want him back. Odegaard is adored by fans at both clubs, and he was in the discussion alongside Lionel Messi as the best attacking player in all of La Liga in the 2019-2020 campaign.

Odegaard is a genius in the final third, executing key passes that few other midfielders in the league could have possibly spotted. He’d bring a level of chance creation to the club that they haven’t seen since Mesut Ozil graced the field as the finest playmaker of his generation.

A fantastic presser with slick dribbling skills and a real eye for goal from range, Odegaard is almost the perfect No. 10. He’s certainly a perfect fit for La Real, running the show by harrying defenders into mistakes and quickly getting the ball to a sea of talented attackers.

You could only imagine what Odegaard would be capable of as a regular at the Santiago Bernabeu, threading passes to Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, Isco, Vinicius Junior, and more. Odegaard has the mentality and work rate to be a special player for Zinedine Zidane.
