4. Trophies:

The big question on everyone’s minds. If the season were to continue, Real Madrid will be fighting for the two biggest trophies of their season which are the UEFA Champions League and La Liga. As explained earlier, they are at a slight disadvantage given how things were called off but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a chance of ending this season as champions of both competitions.

Even though Los Blancos have been out of practice and will need time to reach maximum fitness, it’s important to note that every single other team in Europe is going through the same and therefore they will all be aiming to return to full fitness together with the first few matches. Yes, many players have been consistently training and staying fit but being ready to play intense matches is obviously a very different story.

5. Pure Happiness:

We all know the joy that football brings to the world and even though at this moment it’s understandably not in the forefront of everyone’s minds with bigger problems consuming our thoughts, it’s impossible to deny that the return of football will bring a smile to all the players and fans faces whenever it begins.

Returning to the stadium to watch your favorite team take the pitch, sitting down in front of your TV feeling stressed and screaming at a screen, and even going on Twitter afterward to share your thoughts and see the opinions of others; not much can beat that and it will be very welcome when it returns.

Lastly, I wanted to take a moment away from football to say that I wish you are all staying safe and that your families and loved ones are healthy. This is a very difficult time for all of us but together, we will get through this just like the world has gotten through so many different things in the past.

Stay healthy, stay safe.
