RW Ferran Torres

Valencia right winger Ferran Torres will reportedly cost 40 million euros, based on the apparent asking price from Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga club could target Torres as a replacement for Jadon Sancho, who has been linked to Real Madrid.

Even if Valencia ask for more money from Real as a direct competitor in La Liga, it’s unlikely Torres would cost more than 50 million euros. At this stage, Valencia would probably be more than happy with 40 million euros from anyone for Torres, given what the market will look like.

Real Madrid have been monitoring the Spain international for a few years now, because he is one of the country’s most exciting prospects. Torres is the most talented player on Valencia and was especially productive during the Champions League group stages in 2019-2020, scoring two goals with two assists.

While Torres isn’t an ideal upgrade, the 20-year-old is more experienced and a more natural fit at right winger than Rodrygo Goes. Achraf Hakimi should be given a chance to start at right wing, but there’s no guarantee he will join Real Madrid due to interest from Dortmund, PSG, and others.

And even if Hakimi sticks around, Torres is a talented bargain signing who could add to Los Blancos’ attack in 2020-2021.
