Real Madrid probably won’t be able to spend on a big transfer target this summer, but in case they are, here are the two best options at each position of need.

The current financial situation in football as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic won’t hurt Real Madrid as profoundly as other teams, especially smaller clubs, but Los Blancos probably won’t be able to make any major signings this summer with no football or fans in attendance.

Real Madrid have needs at every level of their roster, though it does help that they have both one of the deepest squads in Europe and plenty of talented young players on loan.

But Madridistas want to see the club make a splash for a true superstar, specifically a top goal-scorer to boost an attack lacking in current star power. Most of their talent fall under the “one for the future” category in the attack. Think of players like Vinicius Junior, Luka Jovic, and Rodrygo Goes at each of the three main attacking positions in a 4-3-3.

The following targets may not be available in 2020 even if Real can spend, but they should be options for the club in 2021.

Here are the two best players who could be available for transfer at each potential position of need for Los Blancos in 2020 and 2021.
