Wide Forward

LW Sadio Mane

Liverpool left winger Sadio Mane was one of the top Ballon d’Or candidates in 2019 and picked up where he left off in the second half of the Premier League season. One of the keys to Liverpool’s Champions League title triumph in the 2018-2019 campaign, Mane is a complete wide forward who is both unselfish and capable of scoring goals for fun.

An intelligent runner of the ball who knows exactly how to frustrate fullbacks, destroy offside traps, and cut methodically slice through a Premier League low block, Mane scored 16 goals across all competitions last season.

Mane probably won’t want to leave Liverpool and would cost a fortune. There would also be questions about his fit, since Real’s hole is at right wing. But if Los Blancos want to make a splash, Mane is an option.

RW Jadon Sancho

Like Sadio Mane, Jadon Sancho will cost well over 100 million euros, and even if the changing financial landscape strikes his value down, Borussia Dortmund likewise wouldn’t be interested in selling their star man for anything less than his worth to them.

Sancho scored 14 goals and recorded 15 assists in the shortened 2019-2020 Bundesliga season, once again serving as Dortmund’s best player. He is the conductor of BVB’s mesmerizing orchestra, creating chances with his dribbling skills, movement off the ball, and slick passing.

There may not be a better winger in world football than Sancho. That alone makes him a target.
