Real Madrid are coming off an encouraging 2019-2020 season under Zinedine Zidane, but they still have some questions left to answer this year.

Whether or not the 2019-2020 La Liga and UEFA Champions League campaigns resume remains to tbe seen, but Real Madrid have to feel optimistic about their chances of winning trophies in Zinedine Zidane’s second stint with the club.

After all, Los Blancos didn’t allow a single goal across five games against their biggest rivals, Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona. They defeated Atleti twice in 2020, including in the Spanish Supercup Final to secure Zidane’s first trophy in his latest stint, and they made quick work of Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu in March.

Even so, Real Madrid currently sit second in the league table after faltering against Real Betis, dropping points in yet another disappointing performance to follow up a big win. And in the Champions League, they are down 2-1 to Manchester City after losing the first leg at home.

Therefore, Los Blancos still have some questions to answer heading into 2020, likely without a summer transfer window to truly bolster the remaining weaknesses in their squad.

Here are three questions for Madrid to answer, whether it’s in the 2020-2021 season or in the closing matches of 2019-2020.
