Loan deals

This is a lot more realistic than swap deals and we could potentially see a massive rise in loan deals this summer with the clubs hoping they can reach a transfer fee by the summer of 2021.

There is a lot less risk involved than paying in installments and gives both clubs and the player a chance to assess how things will develop.

We don’t usually see many big names going out on loans but this time, it might be something that becomes normal.

Playing during transfers?

The summer transfer window is mostly during the off-season as it also gives any newcomers a chance to get with the team and have a few training sessions as well as the all-important preseason matches to gel with the squad.

That may not be the same this summer.

If all goes as planned, La Liga will resume play in June with the summer transfer window opening in July. Add to that the recent news that the Champions League may resume and end in August, and you have a chaotic summer ahead!

It’ll be very hard to be at the business end of the season while also keeping an eye on any transfers, especially with departures of players that Zidane could have been using during June.
