Lyon forward Rayan Cherki could be the next big thing in Ligue 1, as fans are already talking him up as the next great player in the league after Kylian Mbappe, who is undoubtedly Real Madrid’s top long-term target.

Cherki’s availability has likely decreased due to the pandemic, but beforehand, Real were rumored to be able to sign him immediately in the summer 2020 transfer window. Provided, however, Los Blancos would then loan him back to Lyon for two years so that he would have an ideal environment to develop and still help the club.
