Many footballers are hardcore FIFA gamers like the rest of us, and Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio is one of the best. But who is on his FIFA 20 Ultimate Team?

Real Madrid star attacking midfielder Marco Asensio is continuing his recovery from a devastating ACL tear in the 2019 pre-season, and he could be an X-Factor in Real’s final charge for trophies if the 2019-2020 season resumes.

Asensio also represented the team excellently in La Liga’s FIFA 20 Tournament, winning the entire contest to make Madridistas everywhere proud.

So as you’d expect, the champion of La Liga in FIFA has quite the impressive FIFA 20 Ultimate Team.

A reddit user stated they beat Asensio in the game mode and shared a screenshot of Asensio’s team, which features his personalized rated 99 card. [Hat tip to Dexerto.com for the story.]

Who else made it on Asensio’s team?

Well, he wisely has Zinedine Zidane as his manager, as there is no better leader of men than the French legend.

Asensio uses a back five with Ricardo Pereira and the legendary Carlos Alberto as his wing backs. Kyler Walker, Ballon d’Or candidate Virgil van Dijk, and Real Madrid nemesis Carles Puyol operate as a stellar trio in central defense.

The Spain international makes use of a double-pivot in midfield with N’Golo Kante and legend Ruud Gullit providing plenty of running, defending, and overall quality in the pitch. Between them, they probably do the work of four midfielders for Asensio.

Finally, the Real Madrid man has himself as the right midfielder in the 5-4-1 formation with Liverpool superstar Sadio Mane – a potential transfer target for Los Blancos in 2020 – on the left. The legendary Diego Maradona is his team’s second superstar, operating as the false nine.

It’s no surprise to see that Asensio has a stacked team and is in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team’s top division in online matchplay, but we’d love to see the 24-year-old add some more Madridistas to his squad besides himself and manager Zidane.
