Real Madrid right winger Gareth Bale will most likely be sold in the summer transfer window, and he has one more opportunity to show interested teams his true value.

The 2019-2020 La Liga and Champions League seasons started out brightly for Real Madrid club legend Gareth Bale. He scored a crucial brace in a 2-2 draw with Villarreal early in the season and was unlucky not to have scored in a 3-0 loss to PSG, and Bale did have a wonderful assist in October with the outside of his boot against Granada.

But thereafter, Bale was a nonfactor. He had a couple of nice performances off the bench and scored in the Copa del Rey, but, otherwise, he was a liability. Bale would get a little bit of momentum and then suffer an injury, so it was several steps back for every step forward.

It was a frustrating 2019-2020 season that represented a further drop in form from his already-concerning 2018-2019 season in the first year without Cristiano Ronaldo. Bale still shows superstar quality at times, but those flashes are fewer and further between.

According to a recent report from MARCA’s Juan Ignacio Garcia-Ochoa, Zinedine Zidane will start rotating even more frequently if the 2019-2020 La Liga and Champions League seasons return. Because if the league campaign is resumed, Real will be playing games every three days, necessitating even more rotation from the manager.

Per the report, this means Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez, who are the big-name players on high wages set to leave this summer, will receive the playing time they’ve been pushing for. James, in particular, has done everything to make an impression on Zidane.

Bale won’t have many interested teams in the summer transfer window after an underwhelming, injury-plagued season. There’s even talk Real Madrid will have to give him away for free, unless if the ambitious Newcastle decide to throw money at the global star.

James Rodriguez is more underrated than overrated. dark. Next

But if Bale can use these minutes and rotation opportunities to restore his value, Real could get 20 million euros or more, even in this market. All Bale needs to do is tease his tremendous ability, and Los Blancos could get a satisfactory offer and money they can use to sign yet another talented young player for their Revolution.
