La Liga is filled with some of the world’s most talented players, so here’s a star Real Madrid should put on their wishlist from each team in the league.

Real Madrid will have to sell in order to buy in the summer 2020 transfer window, because they have a deep squad and must be prudent with their expenditures due to COVID-19. Los Blancos will try to sell two big names in James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale, and other players like Mariano Diaz and Achraf Hakimi could also be on the move.

But in the meantime, let’s take a look at some players who could be on Real Madrid’s wishlist from other clubs in La Liga. We’ll omit rivals FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in order to put more of a spotlight on the other clubs in the league. Clubs in the bottom three places will also be omitted due to the threat of relegation and their lack of quality options.

Sevilla RW Lucas Ocampos

When La Liga was postponed, Julen Lopetegui‘s Sevilla sat third in the table. They gave Real Madrid all they could handle in their two head-to-head meetings in 2019-2020, and while Ferland Mendy shut down Lucas Ocampos, there is no doubt the is Sevilla’s best player.

Ocampos was honored to see links to Los Blancos. The versatile right winger is an incredibly tricky and agile dribbler, and he was also Sevilla’s top goal-scorer in 2019-2020 with 10 goals in league play.

The 25-year-old is entering the prime of his career and happens to play his best ball at the position Real Madrid are the weakest. Nobody is expecting Real to make a move for Ocampos, but he should at least be on Florentino Perez’s radar.

Real Sociedad LW Mikel Oyarzabal

Real Sociedad’s best player is a Real Madrid player, as Martin Odegaard has led La Real to a Champions League qualification place so far in the 2019-2020 La Liga season. Center midfielder Mikel Merino and striker Alexander Isak could also interest Los Merengues.

But Sociedad have one of the most valuable young forwards in European football in Mikel Oyarzabal, who had more goals and assists than Odegaard in 2019-2020. The left forward is valued by Transfermarkt at nearly 50 million euros after scoring eight goals and six assists with 2.2 dribbles per game in 2019-2020, per WhoScored.com.

Oyarzabal is at his best on the left side and thus wouldn’t be a fit for Real Madrid, but with his production at the age of 23, the sky is the limit.
