These young players need to play a starring role for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have arguably the most impressive collection of young talent out of any team in Europe’s top five leagues, and they added another high-quality young attacking player in Reinier Jesus over the winter transfer window.

Here are three players who will need to shine in 2020 for the remainder of the current season and the beginning of the 2020-2021 campaign.

RW Rodrygo Goes

Right winger Rodryo Goes emerged as a star in the Champions League with a perfect hat trick against Galatasaray, and he was one of the team’s leaders in terms of goals per 90 minutes across all competitions.

Next season, Rodrygo will become even more important to the squad. In his first season after joining the club from Santos, Rodrygo played a quieter role off the bench in the second half of the campaign, whereas second-year Madridista Vinicius Junior played a starring role.

Rodrygo could have a similarly important role in the second half of the 2020-2021 season. And with Gareth Bale set to leave the club, he could be Real’s best option on the right side, pending how Los Blancos use Achraf Hakimi and Marco Asensio.

A future superstar who is already an advanced attacking player off the ball, Rodrygo can be a top scorer for Real one day.
