Borussia Dortmund star striker Erling Haaland is currently out with an injury, and he did struggle last week in Der Klassiker before suffering the ailment. However, Haaland has looked as good as usual in the Bundesliga’s return and was arguably the league’s best player, alongside teammate Jadon Sancho, in the Ruckrunde after his transfer to BVB.

Haaland has scored 41 goals in all competitions in 2019-2020, making him the world’s most prolific scorer at any position. The Norway international won’t be cheap, but he could cost Real Madrid under 100 million euros in 2021. When considering his overall value, that would make Haaland an absolute bargain.

The 19-year-old is an even better striker than Luka Jovic, as impressive as the Serbian international was in 2018-2019 for Eintracht Frankfurt. Haaland’s athletic ability is almost unrivaled in European football, and he makes some brilliant runs off the ball. Like his idol Cristiano Ronaldo, Haaland does a fantastic job of making moves off the ball that always put him in a position to score.

And as the goal totals show, Haaland is clinical once he gets his chance. After Kylian Mbappe, Haaland looks like Real Madrid’s top long-term transfer target. Eden Hazard could have a boatload of assists with a striker like Haaland by his side, since he would be the best goal-scoring No. 9 to play with Hazard since prime Diego Costa at Chelsea.
