Real Madrid’s next game of the season has been set.

La Liga already announced that the league will return next month on June 11 with a derby between Sevilla and Real Betis, and now Real Madrid fans know when their club will play its first game back when the 2019-2020 campaign begins again.

According to a report from COPE, via Real Madrid Info on Twitter, Real Madrid will face their next opponents on the schedule, Eibar, on June 14 at 7:30 p.m. CET or 1:30 p.m. ET. The match will occur on Sunday.

However, Los Blancos won’t be playing at the legendary Santiago Bernabeu stadium, which is being used to help COVID-19 relief efforts. Instead, Real will face Eibar at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium, which is normally used as the world-class team’s training ground of choice.

Real Madrid sit in second place in La Liga during the delayed 2019-2020 season, as they lost to Real Betis 2-1 before the postponement due to COVID-19. Their spot in second comes despite a commanding 2-0 win over rivals FC Barcelona during March’s Clasico at the Bernabeu. Barcelona are currently the league leaders despite their own struggles.

In the first half of the season, Los Blancos defeated Eibar 4-0 on Nov. 9. Eden Hazard was healthy and playing incredible football for Zinedine Zidane’s side, and Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema scored penalties on a day in which the star striker netted a brace. Fede Valverde sealed the game at 4-0 in the 61st minute with an excellent goal of his own.

Eibar are currently in 16th place and less than three points above 18th-placed Mallorca, who defeated Real in the first half of the season at the Iberostar Stadium. Therefore, Eibar will give it their all, since every point matters in the relegation battle. Los Blancos cannot take anything for granted.

All eyes will also be on Real Madrid’s stars Marco Asensio and Hazard, who could both return from injuries in time for the 2019-2020 season’s resumption.
