Federico Valverde

There was a fair amount of uncertainty surrounding Federico Valverde as many hadn’t heard of the Castilla product heading into this season, but once again, Zinedine Zidane has demonstrated his innate ability to recognize talent.

Valverde’s presence made the departure of Marcos Llorente a blessing in disguise.

The Uruguayan has been stellar in just about every game that he has played this season.

At 21-years-old, he is showing a game IQ well beyond his years and he is more than capable of playing alongside any midfield combination Zidane chooses.

Fede has gained the support from fans and that’s evident from some standing ovations at the end of matches and the restart is his chance to show that his form is a product of raw talent and not luck.
