Marco Asensio

Last season was no good for Real Madrid and arguably even worse for Marco Asensio who stated that the burden of the team’s success is not solely on his shoulders. He took a lot of heat for his comments and with good reason.

The Spaniard seemed to do a full 180 as he looked sharp in the preseason leading up to the 2019-2020 campaign.

Many fans were excited to see him take to the pitch again like it was his first season with the club. It just so happened that he picked up a season-ending knee injury during that tour of the United States.

With coronavirus delaying the season, there is a chance Asensio could take part in the rest of the season and like Hazard, could save face with the fans if he plays to his potential.
