Real Madrid players will not be playing in the Santiago Bernabeu when La Liga returns in a couple of weeks. They will be at their training ground with no fans attendance. Eder Militao says this won’t be a big problem.

Although the environment surrounding a thrilling end to the top-flight in Spain will not have the same fanfare as we have seen in recent years, the players of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are well aware of what is at stake.

With 11 games to go, Real will play its first competitive match in three months on June 14 as they host Eibar at the Estadio Alfonso di Stefano.

Playing at the club’s training facility seven and a half miles away from the Bernabeu – which is currently being rennovated – could cause players distractions, but Brazilian defender Eder Militao is not worried about the change in venue or the lack of Madridistas cheering them on.

"“We will all carry the fans together in our hearts,” he said on Real Madrid TV.  “We are ready to return to LaLiga. We are already training together and it’s great to train at a different intensity. We are ready for anything. It’s important to have contact with the ball and work on our physical fitness.”"

Despite seeing limited playing time in his first season with Los Blancos, Militao has stayed professional and continues to work hard to prove that he should take over for Sergio Ramos in the next few years.

He has been dazzling the coaching staff and media members during training since returning in the last few weeks and he should see his playing time increase with the crazy fixture schedule coming up.

I do worry about the players remaining focused on each individual match with there being no one physically there. It might be more difficult knowing that millions are watching around the world at home and there is no one actually in the stadiums.

Real Madrid will not face rivals Atletico Madrid or Barca in the remaining 11 fixtures, but they will have some big tests against the likes of Real Sociedad and Valencia. Let’s hope Eder is right and the Madrid players remember that the fans are watching each match intently and nervously.
