If Real Betis or Valencia want Dani Ceballos, here’s what Real Madrid is asking for.
Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has all the qualities to be a star player in European football, and he’s played well for Arsenal when given a chance.
After some wondered if Ceballos could leave the Gunners in the winter transfer market, Ceballos proved himself to new manager Mikel Arteta during training and later showed his talent on the pitch again.
Arsenal have teased the idea of purchasing Ceballos, but based on Real’s asking price, a move doesn’t seem to be in the cards. However, Ceballos doesn’t seem to have a place in Zinedine Zidane’s lineup next season, so he must prove himself again with another loan deal.

Real Betis and Valencia were linked to the Andalusian midfielder last winter, and they remain logical landing spots.
Ceballos himself has stated that he would like to return to Betis, where he would feel valued.
According to a report from SUPER Deporte Editor-in-Chief Carlos Bosch, Real Madrid have named their asking price for a one-year loan deal involving the young midfielder.
Per SUPER, Real would ask a club to cover all of Ceballos’ 6.5 million euros in wages plus an additional four million euros in order to have Ceballos for a full season.
It’s not a cheap offer for a loan deal, and there doesn’t appear to be any discussion of an option to buy. Nor do Real seem interested in selling such a technical, high-upside midfielder.
However, Ceballos has the talent to help a club like Betis or Valencia qualify for the Europa League and Champions League, respectively. He could be the missing piece for either side with his all-around work rate in midfield, as well as his ability to progress the ball in the attack as a dribbler and passer.
Betis and Valencia could help Ceballos blossom, and Ceballos could help either club. But in the end, Real Madrid would benefit the most.
