La Liga has returned! Parshva Shah takes a look at four Real Madrid players who should be given more playing time in the remaining 11 fixtures.

One of the most striking aspects of Zinedine Zidane’s coaching is that he likes to rotate his players more often than most other managers would. Much of the success Real Madrid achieved during the 2016-17 season could be credited to him rotating players cleverly.

However, there have also been players completely frozen out by the manager owing to either lackadaisical performances or frosty relationships.

With Real set to play almost every four days for the remainder of the season, and the allowance to use five substitutes so as to prevent injuries, some players who haven’t been fortunate enough to receive quality playing time have a chance to prove their worth to Zidane.

Here are four players that Zidane should award an opportunity to contribute to the cause of the team.

To say that Brahim Díaz is a talented young lad would be an understatement. The 20-year-old Spaniard effuses an unimaginable quality on the ball. He can play as a winger on both flanks with ease.

He is ambidextrous with the ball at his feet, which shows his versatility. However, Zidane has frozen Brahim out of his squad. He has accumulated just 23 minutes over three La Liga appearances this season.

When Zidane was reappointed as coach in March last year, Brahim was one of his most important players. Zidane placed his faith in the wonderkid and the confidence exuded in his performances as he ended the season with a bang.

Brahim should be a part of Zidane’s plans because it is highly unlikely that he will be a starter. However, he could be used as a backup to Karim Benzema as Zidane has used the no.21 as a false 9 during training.
