Real Madrid fans have plenty of reasons to be excited about this team.

Since La Liga’s return, Real Madrid fans have been reminded of how wonderful it is to watch Los Blancos play. This team may still not have completed its evolution with young talent developing and still more talent set to join the squad over the next couple of years, but they have shown in the last four games that they are already capable of winning the La Liga title.

On Sunday, Real Madrid will travel to the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona to face Espanyol, who are one point behind Leganes and in last place in the league. Los Blancos are fully expected to pick up their fifth straight win since the restart.

Here are three things to look forward to when Real take the pitch again on Sunday.

Casemiro’s return from suspension

Casemiro picked up his 10th yellow card of the season against Real Sociedad in that all-important win last Sunday, so he missed Wednesday’s game against Mallorca. Real Madrid won anyway thanks to stellar performances from the center backs and Vinicius Junior, with Luka Modric doing most of the work in the double pivot with youngster Fede Valverde.

But it will be great to see Casemiro back on the pitch. He has been Real’s MVP on a star-studded team in 2019-2020, producing consistently excellent displays from start to finish. Real are so much better with Case in the lineup, and his return will come at a time when the club prepares to face another one of the best defensive midfielders in the league in the promising Marc Roca.
