Finally, the left side of Real Madrid makes it on the list again, but this time in an attacking sense. Los Blancos have the “good problem” of having two of the world’s best left wingers in Eden Hazard and Vinicius Junior. It may seem presumptuous to label Vinicius as one of the best at the position on this entire planet, but since he was the difference-maker against two of Europe’s biggest clubs in Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona this season, he has to make the cut.

Zinedine Zidane got Hazard and Vinicius on the pitch at the same time against Mallorca by playing Hazard as a No. 10, and it was Vini who stole the show with two excellent chips. One of them hit the crossbar, but the other one resulted in a wondergoal. And Vini’s Man of the Match-caliber performance came just days after he was the best player on the pitch against Real Sociedad, winning a penalty in the 2-1 win.

Beyond FIFA 20 cover star Hazard and future Ballon d’Or winner Vinicius Junior, Real Madrid have one more talented player who doesn’t get many chances to start the position. Rodrygo Goes has made most of his appearances on the right wing in his first season at Real from Santos, and his perfect hat-trick against Galatasaray and dream debut goal as a substitute against Osasuna provided glimpses of his world-class ability.

Real Madrid may be targeting goal-scoring wide forwards, but the left wing position is the least of their concerns. Hazard and Vinicius are tremendous, and that is Rodrygo’s ideal position.
