Real Madrid: Another notable club wants to sign Oscar Rodriguez
Real Madrid attacking midfielder Oscar Rodriguez is generating plenty of interest.
Leganes will likely be relegated at the end of the 2019-2020 La Liga season, but Real Madrid attacking midfielder Oscar Rodriguez has done everything he can to earn points for the Madrid-based club.
Oscar has been a free-kick wizard capable of scoring wondergoals from beyond the box and scoring from nothing to produce points in the table for Leganes. He’s scored nine goals with two assists this season as one of La Liga’s biggest breakout stars, and he’s easily been the team’s best player this season.
As impressive as Oscar has been, Real Madrid probably won’t be able to find space for him in the squad. Marco Asensio and Isco are playing at a high level in the first team, Takefusa Kubo and Martin Odegaard have been plenty impressive on their own loan deals, and Castilla star Reinier Jesus is another piece of the puzzle as a No. 10.
Per a report from MARCA’s Jose Felix Diaz, AC Milan have recently made contact with Oscar’s agent Rene Ramos. They are the latest club to have interest in Oscar, and the former Serie A powerhouse could do well to sign a player with his goal-scoring qualities from the midfield.
MARCA reports that Real Madrid are currently looking for 10 million euros up-front and then 10 million euros later to fulfill the second half of the transfer fee. But they would also, as is customary for Los Blancos, add a buy-back clause in case they see a way to find space for Oscar’s talent in their squad at a later date.
The 22-year-old Spanish midfielder has shown great instincts and versatility this season, and you could only imagine what he’d be capable of at a bigger La Liga club than Leganes or even an ambitious Serie A club like Milan. With Ralf Rangnick in charge, Oscar could potentially blossom for the Rossoneri in 2020-2021.
