3. Eden Hazard cameo

Eden Hazard has missed the last two games that Real Madrid has played. While there was no official medical report from the club, Zidane did confirm that the Real Madrid management was being cautious with Hazard, and while the scans carried out on his ankle showed no injuries, he was feeling a bit of pain.

Ever since the Belgian returned to action for the club he has taken a lot of hits, with opposition players particularly targeting his bothersome ankle. Often after being substituted, Hazard is seen with ice around his ankle on the bench.

While he did miss the two games vs Getafe and Athletic Bilbao, the Belgian attacker was seen in recent training pictures along with the team. Zidane then confirmed in his pre-game press conference that Hazard will be back with the team for the game vs Alavés.

That being said, it’s still unlikely that Zidane will start the winger from the very start. The manager has always been very cautious with players returning from injury and in all likelihood, Hazard will make a cameo appearance off the bench to regain his confidence.

It’s going to be interesting to see how Hazard performs. He wasn’t at his best in the two games he played before he was sidelined with pain. A firing Hazard without a doubt takes Real Madrid’s attacking gameplay to another level and Madridistas will be hoping to see him at his best.
