Midfielders

Casemiro – 7/10

Casemiro worked hard as usual. It was not his most impactful performance but got himself involved with a stout positional play. The Brazillian helped Los Blancos keep possession and to spread the ball around when needed.

Casemiro completed 89 percent of his 79 passes, including nine long balls. He also had three clearances, two aerial duels, and one interception.

Luka Modric – 8/10

Luka Modric seems to keep turning back time as he had another masterclass in the middle of the park. The 34-year-old midfielder looked calm and composed on the ball.

He moved the ball around well and was always available to get the team out of pressure. The Croatian was the conductor that made Los Blanco’s tick throughout.

Modric completed four dribbles and contributed a key pass. He also completed 92 percent of his passes, including eight out of eight accurate longballs.

Toni Kroos – 7.5/10

Kroos was brilliant on the ball and helped Los Blancos control the midfield in the second half. His ability to read the game and change the tempo at will is indispensable.

The German passing machine kept the ball moving and switched play at will, completing eleven out of eleven long passes. Kroos completed 96 percent of his 102 passes, the most in the match.
