Marco Asensio – 8.5/10

Asensio had one of his best games since being back from injury. He started out adjusting to an inside right/free role in the 4-3-3 setup but grew into the game.

The Spanish international looked more and more dangerous and started to move around in the front three with ease.

He scored his second goal of the season, giving Los Blancos a two-goal lead. He also contributed with three key passes and completed 92 percent of his passes.

Rodrygo Goes 8/10

The Brazillian winger looked at home playing in the left-wing. Rodrygo was sharp and took on defenders for fun. He created a lot of chaos for the Alaves’ backline and was a joy to watch.

The fluid front three worked perfectly for Rodrygo as he had the license to dribble, cut in, and switch sides with Asensio.

The youngster played an influential role in the second goal by dribbling past his marker and setting Benzema through with a lovely pass. He completed a game-high six dribbles and was a pest for the opponents throughout the match.

Karim Benzema – 9/10

Benzema received La Liga’s player for the month for June, and the Frenchman showed why he deserved the accolades. He was involved in the majority of Real Madrid’s attacking sequences. Benzema was the cog that connected the Royal White’s attack.

The French forward scored the winning penalty and set up Asensio for Los Blancos’ second. He also created four chances and was unfortunate to be denied another goal by a fantastic save from Roberto Jiminez.

Substitutes

Vinicius Junior – 6/10

Vinicius replaced Asensio in the 70th minute. He managed to complete two key passes in the 20 minutes he was on the pitch.

Fede Valverde – 6.5/10

Fede Valverde came in and looked good in the midfield. He continues to do what’s asked of him with a series of lowkey good performances.

He worked hard and helped Los Blancos complete the game with a clean sheet.

Isco – N/A

Isco was the brightest of the substitutes. He had a beautiful curling shot at goal saved brilliantly by Jiminez.

Isco completed two dribbles and showed elite game management skills along with Kroos towards the end.

Eden Hazard – N/A

Eden Hazard got his first minutes back from injury and did not have much time to influence the game. He only had ten touches in the final ten minutes.
