Midfielders

Carlos Casemiro – 7/10

Casemiro had a great game except for one error that led to Granada’s only goal.
Apart from the poor giveaway, the defensive midfielder put on outstanding numbers as usual. Casemiro had three successful tackles, three clearances, won three aerial duels, and two interceptions.

He also helped Los Blancos spread the ball around with six completed long passes. Only Toni Kroos had more with seven.The Brazillian international also assisted Mendy for his goal with a driving run through the middle before passing the ball to the French international.

Luka Modric – 8/10

Luka Modric was the most consistent player throughout the match. He was phenomenal in the first half and a much-needed pressure release valve in the second 45. The Croatian created three chances, one of which led to the winning goal.

Modric had 61 touches in the match, and all of them were class. He helped Los Blancos get out of the pressure often in the second-half when Granada was in fifth gear creating all kinds of problems.

Toni Kroos – 7/10

Toni Kroos was reliable as usual for the Merengues. The German international helped Los Blancos dominate in the first half. His passing accuracy is unmatched by any footballer, and his ability to keep things ticking is a valuable asset to Real Madrid.

Los Blancos No.8 had the most touches in the game and completed 97 percent of his 75 passes, including seven long balls. Kroos also completed all three of his dribbles and did not lose possession once.

Fede Valverde: 6.5/10

Valverde played with a lot of energy and grit. He made a couple of vital tackles to earn the ball back in the midfield.

He phased away as the game went on and did not get involved as much in the second half.
He completed 100 percent of his passes, including a key pass in the match.
