Real Madrid will face Leganes on Sunday night in their final game of the 2019-2020 La Liga season.

On Thursday night, Real Madrid sealed the championship at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano by defeating Villarreal 2-1 on the same night FC Barcelona flopped against Osasuna. Los Blancos had their stumbling blocks this season, but, as a whole, they proved they deserved to be champions, especially in the biggest games against the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Sevilla.

Sunday’s game against Leganes, who are set to be relegated, should be stress-free. It will be more about the young players getting opportunities, but there is one experienced player with plenty to play for.

FW Brahim Diaz

Brahim Diaz has received the fewest minutes of any player in the squad to make an appearance this season, with 31 La Liga minutes across five substitute appearances. The Spanish international scored in a Copa del Rey game and has plenty of ability, but it’s been difficult for him to get playing time on such a deep squad with so many forwards.

Perhaps Brahim can start or at least get 30 minutes of action as one of the five substitutes in the game, matching his season-long minutes in one night. Brahim has the ability to play at any of the three forward positions, and his ability to score from distance could give Leganes some headaches, too.
