Real Madrid will finish the 2019-2020 La Liga season against Leganes with the title already in their hands.

By defeating Villarreal 2-1 on the same night Barcelona lost to Osasuna, Real Madrid showed that they are unequivocally the best team in Spain this season. Real already had shown their superiority over Barcelona this year by defeating La Blaugrana in March 2-0, comprehensively taking down their struggling rivals.

Now, the 34th league title in the club’s history is officially theirs, and the fans can relax on the season’s final matchday against Leganes.

Here are three things to look forward to.

Enjoying the show

Madridistas have been on the edge of their seats throughout the season. There’s been so much drama in the 2019-2020 season for Real Madrid what with injuries, new signings, young players, rumors, and critics. Real came off a poor 2018-2019 season and few expected them to be this good, but Zinedine Zidane already has the title in hand.

Now, Madrid fans can sit back and enjoy the final game of the season against Leganes, who have a lot to play for but seem destined to be relegated. It won’t matter if Real win this match, so fans could also get to see a lot of young players get a chance that wouldn’t have otherwise. Brahim Diaz, for example, is a fan-favorite prospect who has received a mere 31 La Liga minutes this season. Perhaps the young forward could be a star on Sunday evening.
