Real Madrid have some of the best prospects in world football, and three of them made this year’s breakout team for La Liga.

Whether they were on loan or getting minutes in the first team, Real Madrid had around a dozen highly talented young players who made their mark in 2019-2020. From new signings like Rodrygo Goes to established prospects like Martin Odegaard, Real have young players ready to become superstars one day.

La Liga’s 2019-2020 breakout starting XI was recently released, and, as you’d expect, Real Madrid were well-represented. And the three players who made the XI were unsurprisingly midfielders in Fede Valverde, Martin Odegaard, and Takefusa Kubo.

Valverde is the only player of those three in the first team for Los Blancos, and he established himself as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in Europe. He had Man of the Match performances against big clubs like Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, showing how he elevates his game to meet the best.

Meanwhile, Odegaard was the most creative player in La Liga behind Lionel Messi, doing everything he could to push an impressive Real Sociedad attack into the Champions League. They will be playing in the Europa League next season, and that’s thanks to Odegaard, who was a slam dunk for this list.

Takefusa Kubo did everything he could to help Mallorca avoid the drop, dribbling through defenders and scoring a few great goals. He’s the kind of player who can become a huge star at a bigger club, and a new loan move should take place next season.

Elsewhere in La Liga, a few players who were on Real Madrid’s radar as transfer targets before COVID-19 made the squad. Real Valladolid center back Mohammed Salisu and Valencia winger Ferran Torres were there. Nobody on rivals Atletico Madrid made the squad, while Barcelona had only one player represented in the fantastic Ansu Fati.
