Keep a clean sheet

Keeping a clean sheet is paramount here. Manchester City’s defense has been tremulous at times this season and it’s their bloodthirsty offensive unit that more often than not gets the team their desired results.

Although it will be a mammoth task to keep Manchester City’s offence in check for the full 90 minutes – especially with Sergio Ramos out – Real Madrid has what it takes to mitigate City’s offensive prowess.

Thibaut Courtois’ returns in goal have been delightful as he was the rightful recipient of the Zamora Trophy and has firmly re-established his status as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

If Manchester City do not add to their tally of two goals from the first leg, Real Madrid will have less to worry about, although it is easier said than done.
