If there’s a star player Real Madrid want from Bayer Leverkusen right now, then it is Kai Havertz. But since Chelsea qualified for the Champions League and Real won’t make a play for a star like Havertz until 2021, the No. 10 is as good as gone in Los Blancos’ eyes.

But they should still have a reason to watch Leverkusen games in 2020-2021. The club is known for developing talent, as Real know well after loaning Dani Carvajal there to great success, and they’ve found another gem in Moussa Diaby, whom PSG could not keep.

Diaby is one of the most exciting players in the Bundesliga, and he is developing rapidly. A great winger who can play at a high level on either side, Diaby’s acceleration enables him to beat defenders at will.
